For a list of valid international markets by country that accept submissions of sci-fi, fantasy or horror in English and translate them for publication, see Doug Smith's Foreign Markets List.

This page lists markets by language, and includes all the magazines, webzines, blogs etc. I've discovered, whether or not they accept submissions in English, including those that are now closed but where their website is still active, and some I've read about but can't find, and some that are literary magazines rather than specifically for speculative fiction.

All information is correct as far as I know, at the time of writing. Please get in touch and let me know if you have any information about any of these markets, or any others I haven't yet discovered.

Afrifiksie - Publishes SF in Afrikaans, but doesn't translate from English.

Albanian

Letrare - Literary magazine. Translates stories from other languages, but not specifically SF. Queried June 2024. Editor confirmed they do not translate unsolicited stories.

Amharic

Meskot - Literary magazine. No answer to queries.

Arabic

Science Fiction Quarterly - General translation policy unknown, but was willing to look at some of my stories.

Assamese

Anyayug (Another Era) - Includes stories and poems translated from various languages. Genre uncertain. Queried June 2024.

 

Xahitya - Literary magazine, including some translated stories. Queried June 2024.

Azerbaijani

Utopiya - Science fiction e-journal. Queried June 2024.

Belarusian

Kosmoport - Science Fiction magazine. Closed.

Dziejasluv (Verbs) - Literary magazine. Queried March 2024.

Bengali

Parabaas - Literary magazine. Doesn't translate.

Sonajhuri - Closed. Previously published one of my stories.

Urhalpool - Literary magazine. Appears to be closed.

Brud Nevez - Literary and cultural magazine. No answer to queries.

Terra Fantastica - SF magazine. Closed as far as I can tell.

Catalan

Catarsi (Catharsis) - quarterly A3 science fiction and fantasy magazine. They've published two of my stories, including one in issue #1.

Narranacion - Magazine of stories and artwork. Translates from English. 

Chinese

Kedo - Has some stories in English. Queried July 2024.

Non-Exist Daily - no information, other than I believe it exists.

Science Fiction Cube - SF magazine. Queried March 2024.

SF King - Closed

SF World - Accepts and translates stories from English.

Super Nice - no information, other than I believe it exists.

World of English - Accepts and translates stories from English.

World SF Expo - no information, other than I believe it exists.

Youth Digest - Accepts and translates stories from English.

Zui Found - no information, other than I believe it exists.

Future Affairs Administration - Translated stories from English. No activity since 2019, it seems. 

Cornish

An Gannas - Literary and cultural magazine. Doesn't translate. 

Croatian

Eridan - SF magazine. Translates stories from English. Never replied to any of my submissions.

Parsek - SF magazine. Translates stories from English. Never replied to any of my submissions.

Sirius B - SF magazine. Doesn't seem to have been published for a couple of years.

Czek

Pevnost (Fortress) - Translates from English apparently, though appears to be more of a non-fiction mag. Has never responded to any of my subs.

XB-1 - Translates from English, but has never responded to any of my subs.

Danish

Proxima - Translates stories from English, including one of mine in 2012.

Dutch

Fantastische Vertellingen (Fantastic Tales) - Doesn't translate.

HSF (Formerly Holland SF) - Doesn't translate from English. 

In Tenebris - Speculative fiction magazine. Queried July 2024.

Portulaan - Speculative fiction magazine. Doesn't translate.

SF Terra - Translates from English, including two of my stories.

Tjonge - Postage stamp sized magazine! Doesn't translate.

Algernon - SF magazine. Accepts stories for translation, including one of mine in 2009.

Reaktor - SF magazine. Usually accepts stories for translation, but as of 2022 currently doesn't. Has published two of mine.

Filipino

Liwayway - Literary magazine. Queried April 2024.

Finnish

Kosmoska - I can't find anything about this magazine, other than a note that it doesn't translate, so I must have contacted them at some point.

Portti (Portal) - Quarterly SF magazine. Queried March 2024.

Spin - SF magazine. Translates from English.

Tahtivaeltaja - SF magazine. Occasionally translates.

French

Angle Mort - Speculative fiction magazine. Doesn't translate. Currently closed to submissions as of March 2024.

Bifrost - Speculative fiction and popular science magazine. Publishes translations. Queried July 2024.

Galaxies SF - Science Fiction magazine. Translates from English, though none of mine yet.

Gandahar - Speculative fiction magazine. Ceased publication with issue #38 in December 2023.

L'Ampoule - Literary and graphic magazine centred on the literatures of the imagination. Doesn't translate. 

Le Visage Vert - Fantasy magazine. Publishes translations. Queried July 2024.

Solaris - Canadian speculative fiction magazine. Doesn't translate, unless you're Canadian.
