The Romanian translation of my story Observers is out today in issue #3 of Artzone SF magazine. This is my fifth story in Romanian and the fourth appearance for this story, following the original English, then a podcast and then Galician.

The cover art is fabulous.

Book Review: The Unfamiliar Garden by Benjamin Percy

In his fast-paced novel The Ninth Metal, Benjamin Percy introduced us to a future where a comet that passed close to the Earth left a trail of countless meteorites that rained down strange and exotic substances on the planet. Mentioned in the background of that novel are various bizarre things that have happened around the globe since then. The Unfamiliar Garden introduces us to a new set of characters who are dealing with some of these odd happenings.

The Gondolier Reprint: Serbian

The Serbian translation of The Gondolier was originally published at SF-Serbia, but is sadly no longer on line, so here t is again:

Crni pramac moje gondole je glatko sekao mirne vode kanala. Ta vitka barka me je godinama dobro služila, noseći putnike vodenim putevima grada, vođena rukama generacija mojih predaka.

Book Review: The Way Spring Arrives and Other Stories edited by Yu Chen and Regina Kanyu Wang

The Way Spring Arrives And Other Stories is a brand-new collection of stories translated from Chinese, with essays and a couple of stories originally written in English thrown into the mix, offers a much broader spectrum of Chinese speculative fiction than the other translations I’ve read in previous years.

Romanian Observations

It's a week of Romanian stories this week. Only three days after one story was published in Romanian, by short story Observers has been accepted by relatively new fanzine Artzone SF and should appear in issue #3.

Observers has previously been published in English in print and as a podcast, and in Galician. Artzone SF is a new magazine for me.

The Gondolier in Telugu

I haven't found a home for the Telugu translation of The Gondolier, so here it is: the 54th language for this story.

Book Review: Seven Mercies by Laura Lam and Elizabeth May

Seven Mercies is the sequel to last year’s Seven Devils and the concluding part of this duology. It continues the action-packed, entertaining, fast-paced story of a group of seven rebels who have now taken on the nickname the Seven Devils, based on the empire’s mythology.

The Gondolier in Korean

Up to now I don't have any stories published in Korean, but my chapter on Waste Management in Science Fiction is included in the book Putting the Science in Fiction, which has been published in Korean. Here's The Gondolier in its 53rd language:

The Gondolier in Japanese

To start the year off, here's one of my new translations of The Gondolier:

Which is delightful.

Five Galician Ways

The Galician translation of Five Ways to Accidentally Save the Earth from Alien Conquest is up today at Nova Fantasia. I think this is the quickest I've ever had a translation published after the original English original.

Englebert in Greece

First day of the year and first story of the year: the Greek translation of Englebert appears today in issue #40 of Ef-Zin magazine. I last appeared in this magazine in issue #15 in 2009.

This is my 6th story in Greek and is the fifth language for Englebert, after English, Hungarian, Vietnamese and Romanian.
