Ogres, Beavers and Other Romanian Creatures

 The Romanian translation of my fifth and final Yorick story, Ogres, Beavers and Other Mythical Creatures, is out now in the new issue of Galaxia 42 magazine. That's all five stories now available in Romanian and Hungarian.

This is my eighth story in Galaxia 42 and my twelfth story in Romanian altogether.

Romanian Ogres

The fifth and final of my Yorick stories, Ogres, Beavers and Other Mythical Creatures, has been accepted by Romanian magazine Galaxia 42. That's the whole series now available in Hungarian and Romanian. It's due to appear in the June issue.

Canines, Reptiles and Other Romanian Anomalies

The Romanian translation of my short story Canines, Reptiles and Other Biological Anomalies is out now in the latest issue of Galaxia 42 magazine. 

This is the fourth of my Yorick stories, and this is the fourth language it's been published in. It's my 7th story in Galaxia 42 magazine, and my 11th in Romanian altogether.

Spanish Reprint Accidentally Saves the Earth from Alien Conquest

 I discovered today that a reprint of the Spanish translation of my short story Five Ways to Accidentally Save the Earth from Alien Conquest was published in the May-Aug 2025 issue of Cuban speculative fiction magazine Korad.

This is the third appearance of this Spanish translation, and the story's eighth appearance altogether.

Aurochs and Cave Bears in Romania

 The Romanian translation of my third Yorick story, Aurochs, Cave Bears and Other Charismatic Megafauna, is now out in the new issue of Galaxia 42 magazine.

This is the fourth language for this story, my sixth story in Galaxia 42 and my tenth story in Romanian altogether. 

Eurocon Reprint

A reprint of the original English version of Aurochs, Cave Bears and Other Charismatic Megafauna is out now in the English language Eurocon special edition of Slovenian magazine Supernova. 

This is my fourth appearance in Supernova and the fourth appearance for this story.

Yorick IV Podcast

The podcast of Canines, Reptiles and Other Biological Anomalies is now up at Tall Tale TV. This is the fourth Yorick story, and appears less than a fortnight after the Slovenian version. 

Slovenian Anomalies

Issue 18 of  Slovenian magazine Supernova is now out, and includes the translation of my fourth Yorick story Canines, Reptiles and Other Biological Anomalies. 

This is the third language for this story and my fourth story in Slovenian.

Romanian Haggis

The Romanian translation of my story Haggis, Rhino and Other Unexpected Wildlife is out in the new issue of Galaxia 42 magazine. 

 This is the fourth language for this story, my fifth story in this magazine, and my ninth story in Romanian altogether.

Slovenian Canines

 A day after my 2nd Yorick story was accepted by a Romanian magazine, my 4th Yorick story has been accepted by Supernova magazine to be published in Slovenian. No confirmed date yet, but some time later this year I guess. 

Romanian Haggis

 My second Yorick story, Haggis, Rhino and Other Unexpected Wildlife will be appearing in Romanian in the February issue of Galaxia 42 magazine, several years after the Romanian translation of the first Yorick story. Hopefully the rest of the series will follow on too. 

This will be my 5th story in Galaxia 42 and my 9th in Romanian altogether.

Aurochs, Cave Bears and Other Slovenian Megafauna

 The Slovenian translation of my third Yorick story Aurochs, Cave Bears and Other Charismatic Megafauna is now out in issue #16 of Supernova magazine. 

This is the third language for this story and my third story in Slovenian.

The third of my Yorick stories, Aurochs, Cave Bears and Other Charismatic Megafauna is out today from the Tall Tale TV podcast, my seventh story to be published there. 

It's previously been published in Hungarian, and soon in Slovenian.

Yorick III PodCast

 My third Yorick story - Aurochs, Cave Bears and Other Charismatic Megafauna - has been accepted by the fabulous Tall Tale TV podcast, to appear at an as yet unspecified date. 

This will be the second or third appearance for this story, depending on when the Slovenian translation appears, and my seventh story at Tall Tale TV.

Righteous Greek Indignation

The Greek translation of my short story The Righteous Indignation of the Naked Mole Rat is out now in issue #44 of Ef-Zin magazine.

This is the sixth language and seventh appearance of this story, my sixth story in this magazine and my ninth story in Greek altogether.

Slovenian Megafauna

 It's been a busy week for translations! The third of my Yorick stories, Aurochs, Cave Bears and Other Charismatic Megafauna, has been accepted by Slovenian magazine Supernova, to be published next spring. 

Greek Mole Rats

 I'm very pleased that my short story The Righteous Indignation of the Naked Mole Rat has been accepted by Greek magazine Ef-Zin, to be published next year. This will be the sixth language for this story.

Spanish Anthology Award

The anthology Cuentos para Algernon: Ano X, which includes the Spanish translation of my story Five Ways to Accidentally Save the Earth from Alien Conquest' has won the Ignotus award for Best Anthology.

The Ignotus awards are the premier Spanish speculative fiction awards. Along with the other 12 authors and the editor, this means I can happily claim one fourteenth of the award.

Haggis, Rhino, and Other Unexpected Wildlife

The second of my Yorick stories is out today as a podcast from Tall Tale TV. It has previously been published in Hungarian and Slovenian.

Haggis, Rhino, and Other Unexpected Wildlife follows on from  Squirrels, Foxes and Other Fine Specimens that was podcast by Escape Pod.

The Hungarian Afternoon of Sir Rupert Moncrief

Issue 398 of Hungarian magazine Galaktika is out, including the translation of my time travel story The Long Afternoon of Sir Rupert Moncrief. 

This is the first translation of this story, and my tenth appearance in Galaktika.

Moncrief first appeared as a podcast from Gallery of Curiosities, and was shortlisted for a Parsec award. It was later printed in the anthology The Chorochronos Archives.
