Flash Fiction #3: Delayed Reaction
Three others have already posted their contributions: Martin McGrath, Paul Raven and Gareth L Powell. All three have a certain mystic quality about them, as does mine by strange coincidence. It's a drabble again this week.

Another interesting idea. Nice one.
Ah, what an idea! What an image! The Sphinx is awake... and she's PISSED OFF!
It would have been great to see her swat the Napoleonic soldiers that shot her nose off. But I can still picute the scene - all the centuries of dust and dodgy brickwork falling away as she flexed her feline muscles... If only the Tomb Raider films could boast something even half as cool (but they can't).
Nice one, G.
Heheh, I clicked what was going on partway through and a smile started to spread... nice one.
If only those Buddha statues in Afghanistan had defended themselves from the Taliban back in the late 90s! ;)
That last one was me - for some reason blogger.com decided my username was "S". Nice one Google.
