Romeo and the Spanish Robots

 My short story Romeo and the Robots has been accepted by Cuban magazine Korad to be translated into Spanish for their next issue. This will be the first translation of this story, my second story in Korad and my nineteenth story in Spanish altogether.

The Year in Writing

 I don't seem to have written much this year: only three new stories, though I did also revise two old stories. On the other hand, publications have gone rather well, amounting to a total of 24, the third highest amount in any years.

This number is larger than I was expecting and particularly pleasing after Aphelian magazine ceased publication (temporarily, I hope) after only putting out parts 1-4 of Galaxy's Game. Parts 5-10 are still awaiting publication.

Aside from this, I had seven new stories published in English - also the most for several years. I also had translations published in nine languages, including Chinese, my only new language this year.

Including publications that I was expecting this year but haven't yet appeared, I have 19 publications already lined up for next year too!

Spanish Reprint Accidentally Saves the Earth from Alien Conquest

 I discovered today that a reprint of the Spanish translation of my short story Five Ways to Accidentally Save the Earth from Alien Conquest was published in the May-Aug 2025 issue of Cuban speculative fiction magazine Korad.

This is the third appearance of this Spanish translation, and its eighth appearance altogether.

The Spanish Week of Quarantine

 The Spanish translation of my short story The Second Week of Quarantine is out today at Argentine-based webzine  Microficciones y Cuentos. 

This is the third translation of this story after German and Hindi, and my eighteenth story in Spanish.

Living on the Edge of Poland

 More good news to finish off the year: I've sold my short story Living on the Edge of Darkness to Polish magazine Nowa Fantastyka. This story appeared in Dragon Gems earlier this year and this will be its first translation. It will be my second story in Nowa Fantastyka and my fifth in Polish altogether.

Season of the Slumwort

 Having signed the contract, I can now announce that I've sold my Jack Vance-inspired story Season of the Slumwort to the anthology Feast or Famine from Purple Toga Press. The anthology will contain food-related stories, and my story revolves around the eponymous and unappetising slumwort. Looking forward to seeing the anthology in print early next year.

Hindi Quarantine

The Hindi translation of my short story The Second Week of Quarantine has been published in the latest issue of popular science magazine Vigyan Sampreshan. 

This is the second translation of this story, and my fourth story in Hindi. I'm expecting several other translations of this story next year.
