Hungarian Story Sale

I'm very pleased to have sold my short story Englebert, first published in Daily Science Fiction, to Hungarian magazine Galaktika. My last story with them was in 2009 and it's a very nicely produced, professional looking magazine.

My short story Englebert is on line today at Daily Sience Fiction. This is my second story to appear there after last year's Hiking In My Head, and like that one also follows a non-linear chronology.

Daily Science Fiction Sale

I'm rather pleased to have sold a second story to Daily Science Fiction - my 9th pro sale altogether. I'm not sure when it will be scheduled to appear yet, but should be within a few months. It's a 1500 word story entitled Englebert that I wrote in January.

Hiking in My Head in Polish

The Polish translation of Hiking in My Head is now on line at Szortal. This was the story published at Daily Science Fiction that confused many readers. Maybe the translation will make more sense?

I was contacted this week by Polish webzine Szortal, who would like to translate my story Hiking in My Head that first appeared in Daily Science Fiction. This will be my second story in Polish, following Inside Every Successful Man that was published in Fahrenheit in 2009. 

Hiking Review

Several months later, Hiking in My Head has been reviewed at Diabolical Plots, home of the Submission Grinder. The last line of the review sums up what most readers seemed to think:

'An odd tale I had to read twice to partially understand it.'

Strangely, I had to write it twice before I understood it!

Out This Week and Next

Hiking in My Head was published on Monday and went out to subscribers of Daily Science Fiction. It will be posted on their website next Monday. Several nice comments on their Facebook page, and several bemused readers. The original version was even more confusing!
